Alexandra Brace

My work is deeply inspired by beauty in the effect of light and color on surfaces. I want the work to allow people to use their imaginations and for unexpected ways of seeing and experiencing atmospheres.  

It is mostly abstracted, and I love creating expressions of places which can be interpreted differently. It invites the viewer to look more closely and discover different ways of seeing.  

Most of my work starts as an unknown journey, interpreting as I go. Through layering paint and other media to create multi dimensional pieces, whether it’s a landscape or seems like deep space, I want it to question your perception and perspective, as it reveals more if you look further.
